Kobelco Welding of America, Inc. (KWAI), established in Houston, Texas in 1990, is a subsidiary wholesale company owned by Kobe Steel USA Holdings, focused on marketing Kobelco welding consumables across North and Latin America.
Since its inception, KWAI has built strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional sales and technical support. This commitment to quality has fueled rapid growth and earned the company an excellent reputation. Today, over 300 distributors across North America stock Kobelco welding wires, with KWAI holding a 40% market share in stainless steel flux-cored wires.

The company has broadened its reach with the opening of distribution centers in Cincinnati (1996), Salt Lake City (2002), and Birmingham (2006).
